By Adrees Malik
Ex GM of Pakistan
Cricket Board Women Wing Shamsa Hashmi smashed Sana Mir with a new controversy
of suspicious role as captain in the last year ICC WT20 in India and than in
ICC WWC2017 in England.
Sana Mir is goo
player and I respect her despite of all allegations she putted about me not to
work but my question is this what she did in most important matches of Pakistan
Cricket Team in mega Events.
“I think there are
investigations required in some of the matches she played during Extravaganza
ICC WWT20 2016 in India and ICC WWC 2017” she questioned in an interview to the
scriber
“Pakistan Team had
bright chances to qualify for the semifinals of ICC WWT20 2016 in India but she
(Sana Mir) played slowly and effected the match pace against WI and it is big
question on her role” she claimed with suspiciousness.
When asked to
her was it deliberately she did than ex GM answered it’s not my verdict to questioned
on Sana’s attentions but my question is this that should be investigate by the
PCB.
“” I Respect
Sana Mir as national Player and Captain of Pakistan Team and always protect him
in difficulties, I cannot comment anything like that but Pakistan Lost matches
have to take care off” She said.
The said match
was played in Chennai on 16th march 2016 and won WI by 4 runs. Pakistan
who was chasing target of 104runs, (Sana was in on 10.5 over of the inning and
44/3 and she faced 26 deliveries made 18 runs without boundary and 6 dot balls).
About other
matches she fingered from ICC WWC 2017 between Pakistan and England, Pakistan and
South Africa.
England played
first and scored 377/7, Pakistan lost the match by 103 runs was decided on DL
method, and English openers HC Knight and NR Sciver scored centuries 106 and
137 respectively. Pakistan set target of 207 for SA women team in 50 over’s but
lost the match in 49th over.
“Sana Fielding
plan against English openers was questionable as they scored more than 100 runs
on leg side but the captain dint noticed the fielder to add their similarly the
match against SA was in winning position but Sana’s wrong selection for over
cause the lost in match” she surprisingly said.
She exclaimed
with responsibility and said I did my best efforts for the Women cricket and
introduced welfare plan for senior and retired players also to maintain the
fitness of the team introduced fitness related training regular programs.
Shamsa also blamed
a PCB Senior official who denied implementing of the women development plan.
“Pakistan women
cricketers not regular athletes and due to social culture most of them got
married at the age of 25-28 and therefore I chalked a plan for 15 to 22 years
aged girls and suggest national tournament for under17 but a senior official
misguide the Chairman PCB and that plan was dropped which is the serious management
issue” sadly she said.
EX GM also
annoyed on Sana because he has not submitted the report about the lost of the
matches in ICC Women World Cup 2017.
“Sana is an authoritarian
and even interfered in all affairs from Women Wing Administration to team management,
she was working with the Women Wing from last two and half years but I am
afraid why now she don’t want to more further even though she dint submitted
the Report of ICC WWC2017 to anyone in the women wing” Shamsa concerned.
“She forced to put some senior
players in team management like Kanita, Nain and other for seat of Manager and
Trainer etc” but I had not allowed and said to her this is not your business
and you should focus on the game. I am gentlewomen and well behaved citizen who
never slugs others.
