In the latest rankings update that takes into account India’s home series against New Zealand which India won 2-1 on Sunday, as well as the last match of the South Africa-Bangladesh series and the last two matches of the Pakistan-Sri Lanka series, Kohli has also reached a career-high in terms of rating points.

The 28-year-old Delhi batsman, who scored 263 runs in the series against New Zealand including knocks of 121 in the first ODI in Mumbai and 113 in the final ODI in Kanpur, has reached 889 points, which is the best ever by an India batsman. The previous highest points tally of 887 was managed by Sachin Tendulkar in 1998 and by Kohli earlier this year.

India opener Rohit Sharma’s 174 runs in the series against New Zealand, which included a fine 147 in the final match, has seen him reach a career-high rating of 799 points, even though he remains in seventh position. Similarly, Pakistan’s Babar Azam (fourth position) and South Africa’s Quinton de Kock (fifth position) have also attained their highest in terms of rating points.

South Africa batsman Faf du Plessis (up two places to 8th), former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (up one place to 11th), New Zealand batsman Tom Latham (up 15 places to a career-best 23rd), Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed (up three places to 37th) and Sri Lanka’s Lahiru Thirimanne (up six places to 47th) are among the batsmen to move up in the rankings.

The list for bowlers continues to be led by Pakistan pace bowler Hasan Ali while India pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah has reached a career-best third position after finishing with six wickets in the series against New Zealand.

Other bowlers to move northwards include left-arm spinners Mitchell Santner of New Zealand (up two places to 14th) and Pakistan’s Imad Wasim (up 14 places to 27th). Adam Milne has also made significant movement, gaining 11 slots to reach 42nd position.

India’s series win over New Zealand was not enough for them to overtake South Africa, who hold the top ranking in the MRF Tyres ICC ODI Team Rankings.

“SANA MIR IK Pakistani”, the Face of Pakistan in Women Sports

“SANA MIR IK Pakistani”, the Face of Pakistan in Women Sports

The patriotic and inspiring way of Captaincy made her prominent on the world Map

Sana’s eight years like role model for juniors despite of all allegations raised by his Rivals

Pakistan Won 2010, 214 Asian Champions and Laurels of ICC WWC

By Adrees Malik

An ordinary girl (Born 5th January 1986) with an extra ordinary confidence has started playing Cricket in her early age with the boys in the streets of home town. She was an impressive in interaction with opponents from early age and eager to earn National figure with pride. She was use to play cricket in streets as fast bowler. One of her friend told me that she was a big fan of Waqar Younas and like his run up as well, she also confirmed his respect to Waqar Younis in her various interviews as well.

Yes, I am talking about Sana Mir who is a Pakistan Cricket team player and more than that a very nice human being. She is currently an Ambassador of “Shaukat Kahanum” for the Breast Cancer Campaign and working with passion to aware the society.
But after a symbolic appearance and performance of Sana Mir in international Cricket almost of 12 years, now she is the “FACE OF PAKISTAN” and well recognized in all corners of the World.

Pakistan is a country where the women population is more than 50 % and education ratio of females increasing day by day, The girls are more talented and picturing the soft image of country with their hard work different ideas in absolute fields of Education despite of all social challenges.

Sana Mir whose debut was against Sri Lanka in 2005 at Karachi, this match was accounted only 21 runs in her scorecard but the technique and her bowling was impressive for the Team management staff and the Cricket Experts.

“Sana was so brilliant and energetic and at my first sight I thought she would be one who will rock and lead the Pakistan Women Cricket” Said Azhar Khan Ex Cricketer who was the match referee at that day.
Sana who is right handed bats-women has played 102 ODI’s until now, and in 93 innings scored 1370 runs with the average of 17 plus with the help of 3 fifties. She played most of the matches as an all rounder while leading the team from the front and in 100 innings of the said matches got 110 Wickets with a Unique Five-for.

A sharp mind Sana Mir was elected as captain of Pakistan Women Team in 2009 after her brilliant performance in World Cup Qualifier in 2008 (declared player of the Tournament in ICC WCQ 2008).
The legacy of her Captaincy also ended with controversy created by ex captain of Pakistan Team Shamsa Hashmi.

I did almost 10 interactions with her on one on one interview in Pakistan and abroad even in England and Sri Lanka as well.

She is someone different about her critics and never shouted or used any harsh word for them in all her answers with me during all interviews.

Sana Mir was prolific with her bat and ball in most of the tournament and shadowed exemplary role for her juniors. She is the only Player in Pakistan Women Cricket team history who scored 2034 runs (1370 ODI and 664 T20) and 176 international Wickets (110 ODI and 66 T20).

She was the leader of Pakistan Women Cricket team who brought laurels for Country in Asian History in 2010 and 2014 with Gold Medal in Asian Games. She was in ICC World Top 10 players in 2010 is also a unique record for any Pakistani Women cricketer.

She was debuted in T20 against Ireland in may 25 2009,and in 75 T20 matches she scored 664 runs with the average 14,She also took  66 wickets with one time 4 wickets in a match. Her Last T20 match was against India in ICC WT20 2016.

But the most Crucial Tournament for her Role Model Waqar Younis (as Caoch of Pakistan men Team) and herself (as Captained Pakistan Women team) is ICC WT20 2016. Waqar axed from Team from his job as Coach after differences with Sethi and she was also under fire because of some matches in the tournament.

She played her last tournament was ICC WWC2017 in England and in 9 matches of the tournament she scored 157 runs and grabbed 8 Wickets. The most brilliant performance of was against Austrlaia in Leicester on 5th July 2017 (i.e 49 runs and 3 Wickets). In the next match she also scored 50 against New Zealand at Taunton in the same tournament on 8th July 2017.
It was astonishing for me as a Cricket Writer and Sports Journalist when Ex captain Pakistan Team and Head of PCB women Wing Shamsa Hashmi conspired about Sana’s ability as captained.

Sana was in contact with me about the issue and even asked me about my story which was filed and circulated all over the world, “With a polite and gentle way”.

This is her characteristic that made her the Symbolic Sportswomen for Pakistani female athletes.
It's my guess as she is an educated and found of literary work as well and might be come up with the best strength after her retirement from the international Cricket.

The most deprived field for the females and they never feel easy to join the sports in 20th century especially in professional games like Cricket and Hockey but Sana Mir made it easy for them to chose as profession with her strong work and character.
Now a day’s Pakistan has National teams in almost 10 games including Hockey, Cricket, Kabadi, Football, Basket ball, Volleyball etc and has regular participation in individual games like Athletics, Swimming, and Martial Arts in the events on national and                                                                                                 international events.

No doubt for me in admitting that
“SANA MIR IK PAKISTANI”.She is a role model for all of her team mates and women in Pakistan.

ICC Revamped Bilateral Structure without clarity, FICA also Showed Concern about revamp and wrote a letter to ICC

ICC Revamped Bilateral Structure without clarity

TEST AND ODI LEAGUES Agreed upon & announced BY ICC MEMBERS

FICA also Showed Concern about revamp and wrote a letter to ICC

Current Line (Lahore)

The ICC Board revamped structure of Bilateral series with induction of  nine-team Test league and a 13-team ODI league aimed at bringing context and meaning to bilateral cricket. The schedules of the leagues, due to start in 2019 and 2020 respectively, will now be finalized by the members.

ICC Released for Media as following

The Test series league will see nine teams play six series over two years – three home and three away – with each having a minimum of two Tests and a maximum of five and all matches being played over five days culminating in a World Test League Championship Final.

The ODI league will be a direct qualification pathway towards the ICC Cricket World Cup and will be contested by the 12 Full Members plus the winners of the current ICC World Cricket League Championship. In the first edition of the league, each side will play four home and four away series each comprising of three ODIs moving to all teams playing each other from the second cycle onward.

ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar said: “I would like to congratulate our Members on reaching this agreement and putting the interests of the development of the game first. Bringing context to bilateral cricket is not a new challenge, but this is the first time a genuine solution has been agreed on.

“This means fans around the world can enjoy international cricket knowing every game counts and in the case of the ODI league, it counts towards qualification to the ICC Cricket World Cup.”

ICC Chief Executive David Richardson said: “This is a significant point in time for ICC Members and our collective desire to secure a vibrant future for international bilateral cricket. The approval of both leagues is the conclusion of two years of work from the Members who have explored a whole range of options to bring context to every game.

“The ICC Board decision today means we can now go and finalist a playing schedule for the first edition as well as the points system, hosting arrangements and competition terms.”

The ICC Board approved a trial of four-day Tests matches to run through until the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.  Members will be able to schedule four-day games by bilateral agreement and a set of standardized playing conditions will now be finalized.

Mr Richardson said: “Our priority was to develop an international cricket structure that gave context and meaning across international cricket and particularly in the Test arena. This has been delivered and every Test in the new League will be a five-day Test format.

“However throughout the discussions about the future of Test cricket it became clear that whilst context is crucial we must also consider alternatives and trial initiatives that may support the future viability of Test cricket. The trial is exactly that, a trial, just in the same way day-night Tests and technology have been trialed by Members.

“Four-day Tests will also provide the new Test playing countries with more opportunities to play the longer version of the game against more experienced opponents, which, in turn, will help them to hone their skills and close the gap with the top nine ranked teams.”

A number of decisions around event hosts were taken by the ICC Board in Auckland. The ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier will be held in Zimbabwe in March 2018.

Namibia have been confirmed as the host of the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 in February 2018 whilst the Netherlands have been approved as the host of the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier 2018.

The process for the appointment of the ICC female independent director was confirmed and the recruitment will get underway in the coming week.

The Board approved a revised draft of Player Eligibility Regulations which will come into effect in due course. The key changes include:

·Eligibility on the basis of nationality (residency) has changed to the player needing to reside in country for a three-year period in both the men’s and women’s games. Eligibility on the basis of nationality (passport and birth) remains unchanged.
·         Once a player has qualified to represent a country and has represented that country, he/she shall be considered eligible to play for that country forever more, without having to demonstrate satisfaction of the nationality eligibility criteria at subsequent events or matches.
·
The stand out periods which apply when a player seeks to transfer and play for a second country have been amended to a flat three-year period regardless of membership status and gender.
·
Given the change to the residency criteria, any player who has qualified for and represented a country in the three-year period leading up to the effective date of the new Regulations, will be deemed to be eligible for that country moving forward, and will not have to demonstrate satisfaction of the new residency criteria.

In the first edition of the league, each side will play four home and four away series each comprising of three ODIs moving to all teams playing each other from the second cycle onwards.

“The ICC Board decision today means we can now go and finalise a playing schedule for the first edition as well as the points system, hosting arrangements and competition terms.”

The ICC Board approved a trial of four-day Tests matches to run through until the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.  Members will be able to schedule four-day games by bilateral agreement and a set of standardised playing conditions will now be finalised.

The trial is exactly that, a trial, just in the same way day-night Tests and technology have been trialled by Members.

Eligibility on the basis of nationality (residency) has changed to the player needing to reside in country for a three-year period in both the men’s and women’s games.

The stand out periods which apply when a player seeks to transfer and play for a second country have been amended to a flat three-year period regardless of membership status and gender.

·         Given the change to the residency criteria, any player who has qualified for and represented a country in the three-year period leading up to the effective date of the new Regulations, will be deemed to be eligible for that country moving forward, and will not have to demonstrate satisfaction of the new residency criteria.

Gender Recognition Policy and U19 Age Determination Policy incorporated into Player Eligibility Regulations and one universal disciplinary process will apply to all eligibility matters.

FICA on the ISSUE

“Whilst some of what ICC has now agreed is positive, notably in regard to the ODI league, we feel that the game has missed a significant opportunity to provide real clarity and consistency to the overall global structure,” said Tony Irish, Executive Chairman of FICA.
