Pakistan Cricket team is going to play the 5 ODI’s series in the 2nd
phase of tough tour to Aussie’s. Pakistan ODI captain Azhar Ali refreshing odds
and evens of his players with the fresh blood supply form the home land in the
shape of Muhammad Hafeez, Junaid Khan, Hasan ali, Shoeb Malik and Umar Akmal.
There is two players in the team which can called the fresh blood because Muhammad
Hafeez going to start his 2nd life of as all rounder in
international Cricket after bowling action cleared from ICC and the 2nd
one is Hassan Ali who performed well against West Indies. No doubt Junaid Khan
and Umar akmal also will do hard work to get their place in regular squad but
it could not be easy for both of them because of their lacking in proper
fitness and consistency in game.
Azhar ali should recall all the mistakes of Test series and those will help
him to get chance of win. The first match will be staged on 13th at
Brisbane where Pakistan lost first test with a narrow margin of 39 runs.
According to stats of that match Smith and Handscub’s centuries in the first
inning helped Australia to set good total of 429 and after that starc dented well
the Pakistan’s top order. The green team played 55 overs in first inning and
145 overs in the 2nd inning, Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq was the only
two batsmen who impressed with their bats. Pakistani bowling was performed
below average; therefore this time needs to use Wahab Riaz and Amir with Hafeez
and Malik with batter planning.
The 2nd ODI match is scheduled to play at Melbourne on 15th
and before going for this match Azhar eleven should focus to avoid the mistakes
of Melbourne test in which the batting was collapsed in the presence of perfect
batting pitch on day four and five. ODI captain himself played best inning of
his career in first inning and helped team to set total of 443, but the bowling
of Pakistan Team was poor and below average as they did not defend the hefty
total, Pakistan lost the match by an inning and 18 runs.
The 3rd match will be played at Perth and previously both the
team faced each other in 2010 in nail biting match. Pakistan played first, top
order (salman butt (0), Khalid lateef(0) and younas Khan(3) failed to stand but
Shoeb Malik (37), Umar Akmal (67) and Fawad Alam’s 63 helped to cross 200. The
target of 212 was not difficult for Australia but the Muhammad Asif impressive
attack in first spell than economical bowling of Naveed ul Hassan , Iftth over on the cost of 8 wickets.
Azhar ali and Mickey arthor has to be in mind that it was the bowling that
managed the match at that time.
ikhar anjum, Afridi and Malik tighten Australia till the final over. Australia achieved the total of 212 in 50
Pakistan will face Australia in Sydney on 22nd of January in 4th
ODI match. Pakistan lost unexpectedly last test match of the current series
with a heavy margin of 220 runs on this ground. Head Coach Mickey arthour
already submitted the analysis based defeat report, in the report he said that
it was because of total bowling failure and inconsistent bating performances.
Azhar ali now has Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, Shoeb malik and Umar akmal in middle
order with his experienced opener mate Hafeez to play with mind.
The last and final ODI will play both the teams in Adelaide on 26th
January where last time ICC WC2015 quarter final played between them. Wahab
Riaz was at boom of his career best spell against shane Watson but
unfortunately Pakistan lost the match with two poor shorts from Misbah and Umar
Akmal and catch dropped by Rahat ali.
In the light of all mentioned stats there is need to be consistant in
bowling and batting to get good results.
Pakistan and Australia will face each pther at Brisbane tomorrow and as per previous record last match was lost by Pakistan and the controversry was Afridi's Bite to Ball for Victory
