Karachi king beat
Islamabad United in the 2
nd paly off match at Sharjah of PSL2 by 44
runs and alive the hopes to play final at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. Karachi kings
who got the chance to play “Play off” because of poor performance of Lahore
Qalandar in first two rounds performed better in their first playoff. The match
was started with toss win of defending Champion Islamabad united who bowled
first. The super heavy weight stars oriented team’s total was not impressive as
they managed only 126 runs target for Islamabad United. Roman Raees bowling was
impressive who got 4 wickets including big hitters Chirs Gayle and Polard.
Islamabad United who was very good in nerve end matches failed to meet the
small total even 8 out of ten batsmen was not entered into the double figure.
Captain Misbah Ul Haq 13 and opener Asif ali 39 was the only two who made
double figure. Muhammad Amir, Immad Waseem and Usama meer each got three
wickets and made pathway for the final pathway to avail one more chance for the
run of final. Karachi kings and Peshawar zalmi will face each other on Friday
at Duabi in third and last Playoff of Pakistan Super League match.
The first play off was won by Quetta Gladiators by one run in the same pattern as the won last year against Peshawar Zalmi.
Lahore based palyers of Quetta Gladiators already reached lahore and will start practice today for the final after break of one day. Captain Sarfraz and other players will join them at NCA tonight and formal practice session will held on Saturday at Gaddafi.
