Chairman PCB shahar yar khan shows his deep concerns after bad performance against New Zealand in T20 series especially the substandard Fielding and Fitness, they should improve as per international standards for ICC WT20 2016 he said while he was taking to curent Line..

“The team not showed excellent in the three match T20 series instead of first T20 and this is because of lacking in fitness and Fielding Standards”, Chairman said in an exclusive talk with Current Line at Gaddafi stadium Lahore on Friday after losing three T20 series by 2-1.

PCB chairman once again stamped Afridi as captain for the ICC WT20 without any doubt and said the T20 is an unexpected result game therefore I can understand the struggle and hard work of Afridi 11.

“ i know personally Afridi is a good boy, he and his eleven always try to get success whole heartedly but the pressure of T20 always plays role to effect the performance, and keep in mind T20 is a format which can never be predicted result”. Chairman cemented Afridi eleven selections and performance”.

PCB chairman denied any option to inquire (accountability) any special thing after the bad performance against New Zealand in 2^nd and 3^rd T20 but said players should learn through mistakes by self assessment formulae.

“ I think There is no need to inquiry to find out the reason of T20 series lost because it’s so simple and self assessed as boys are lacking in Batting in 3^rd T20 and Fielding in the 2^nd T20, so I think they have to learn through self accountability, for that the meetings between coach , captain , team management and boys will directed them towards improvements”. He guide the players

On  a question about Muhammad Amir’s below average performance in T20 series Chairman PCB defend and lamented him a new in international Cricket after a long time.

“Amir is back in international Cricket after a long time, no doubt he is a good bowler and will be improving himself after playing some more international matches” He said.

Shaharyar Khan thinks the Green Team need to improve in all three departments of Cricket for a better competitor in ICC World T20 2016.

“ICC WT20 2016 is not for away and we have not enough T20 international matches for the preparation and therefore in PSL and Asia T20 Cup players have to show their improvements” he wished.
