Chairman PCB Shahar yar khan appointed Pakistan test skipper Mibah and senior batsman Younis khan as his advisers in BoG Cricketing representative.

Pakistani Skipper Misbah ul Haq said he will do his best effort to make modernization as part of the structure in PCB Cricket, he was talking to the media at Gaddafi Stadium first time after took his charge as member BoG.

Earlier The 38h PCB Board of Governors meeting was held at the National Cricket Academy with Chairman Shaharyar M. Khan presiding over the meeting.


The Board of Governors reiterated its stance with regard to the Pakistan-India series , should take place as per the MoU signed between the two cricket boards.

“The BCCI must honor its commitment and play the series in the UAE,” said Chairman PCB, Shaharyar M. Khan.

“There is no justification behind asking Pakistan to play the series in India and there is no security issue involved if the two teams play in the UAE,” he added.



Speaking about Pakistan’s participation at the ICC World T20 scheduled to take place in India early next year, Mr. Shaharyar M. Khan stated: “Keeping in mind the security situation, we will have to seek necessary approvals from the Pakistan government for the World T20.”

It was decided at the meeting that Pakistan Test captain Mr. Misbah ul Haq and middle-order batsman Mr. Younis Khan will serve as advisors to Chairman PCB on cricket affairs. As and when required, the two advisors may also be invited to BoG meetings in order to solicit their expert opinion.

apprised the members about work done in order to finalize the implementation details of the plan. Heads of respective sub-committees of the Coordination Committee will submit final plans within one month.

In a bid to support women’s cricket in Pakistan, the Board of Governors has decided to approve, support, and encourage women’s teams from various institutions.

A committee, to be headed by Major Naeem Akhtar Gillani, was formed in order to advise on game development. Mr. Shakil Shaikh, Mr. Gul Zada, Director Game Development Mr. Aizad Syed and General Manager Women’s Wing Shamsa Hashmi will be members of this committee.

The Board of Governors congratulated the Pakistan Cricket Team and team management on winning the recently-concluded Test series against England.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Najam Sethi, Chairman Executive Committee, Mr. Zafar Mehmood, WAPDA, Mr. Shakil Ahmed Shaikh, Chairman Cricket Committee, Mr. Gul Zada, Peshawar Region, Mr. Mansoor Masood Khan, UBL, Professor Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi, Karachi Region, Maj (R) Naeem Akhtar Gillani, Rawalpindi Region, Mr. Muneer Kamal, NBP, Mr. Amjad Latif, SNGPL, and Mr. Ameer Tariq Zaman, Secretary IPC.Mr. Subhan Ahmad, COO, Mr. Badar Manzoor Khan, CFO, and Mr. Amjad Hussain, Director Media& Coordination, and Mr. Salman Naseer, Secretary to the Board,were also present.
