New Zealand has been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate against England during its Group A fixture in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 at the Cardiff Wales Stadium on Tuesday.
Andy Pycroft of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees imposed the fine after Kane Williamson’s side was ruled to be two overs short of its target when time allowances were taken into consideration.
In accordance with Article 2.5.1 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minor over-rate offences, players are fined 10 per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time, with the captain fined double that amount.
As such, Williamson has been fined 40 per cent of his match fee, while his players have received 20 per cent fines. Williamson pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing.
If there is a second minor over-rate offence committed by New Zealand during the event with Williamson as captain, he will be suspended for one match.
The charge was laid by on-field umpires Paul Reiffel and Bruce Oxenford, third umpire Rod Tucker and fourth umpire Aleem Dar, all from the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires.

He (Head coach) in post match press conference accept his mistake to include Wahab Riaz in the team.
Sarfraz won the toss and good decision to take on field but failed in team pick
Wahab Riaz, Ahmad Shahzad and Immad Waseem need long rest
Hafeez has cleared the test but Sarfraz not used him even he is best against left handers
By Adrees Malik
The most disgusting match of Pakistan India clashes history was completed at Edgbaston Birmingham which lost the green team by 124 with (D/L) application. there is number of reasons in match lost to India but the most important is the team management who completely failed to pick team as per need.
The under performed fielding, fitness problem , lack of professionalism and unpredictability are the symbols of Pakistan Team and always carry with the team but more than all those there is major blunders from the team management which showing PCB has to U Turn on policy basis.
The first and far-most blunder
Pakistan playing eleven surprised the people, Cricket Lovers, Cricket experts and every one who have bitter interest in cricket. the 12 players announced by the management a day before which was good to gave confidence to the boys, but unfortunately Junaid khan was missed and the preference given to Wahab Riaz which was accepted a mistake by coach Micky Arthur in post match press conference.
After 12 players the big task to choose playing eleven as per pitch and suitable match conditions, again on this team management totally failed as they chosen two spinners, Immad Waseem and Shadab khan against India.
they preferred Shadab Khan on Faheem Ashraf who is equally good with bat and bowl as compared to Immad also and proved himself in warm up game against Bangladesh.
Team management completely forgot that Indian team is always very good at spinners, on the other hand Indian team management made a fantastic decision by putting out Ashvin from playing eleven who is the best spinner in the world.
There were rumors about the differences between Kumble (Coach) and Virat (Captain ) but they proved there were nothing true in all.
The Use of Bowlers
It was the first major task as captain for Sarfaraz Ahmad to prove his captain abilities but he completely failed and it was also cleared by the Head coach Micky Arthur in post match press conference that chose and rotation of Bowlers is purely captains decision.
Sarfaraz who misread the pitch and try to put on pressure with Immad Waseem on Indian openers but failed even after 6 overs he did not changed the pair or single Immad Waseem with Hassan Ali who can produce well at that time even Wahab can do better when Indian openers batting on the average four runs per over.
its look like Sarfaraz forgot about Hafeez that he has cleared from ICC for Bowling and can bowl for his team. he always very good against left handed like Youveraj Singh and others but captain not bothered him.
Sarfaraz also did two more blunders in rotation of bowling Shoeb malik two overs was good as he cost only 10 runs but he was not preferred in death overs.
Filed placing
The leader of the team captain always do some wonders to avoid lost of match but Sarfraz forgot all the planning it was just because of his lacking in it, he not inspired any one with his keeping, batting and captain planning.
In the first bowling power play Muhammad Amir was doing short pitch but the deep leg fielder was up in the circle.
D/L method reading
Pakistan who was going to chase 324 in the rain effected match, but the openers was not aware about the method that if they made 120 runs in 20 overs without loss of wicket than in case of rain they were won the match easily.
Similarly Sarfraz has to manage the D/L planning as he won the toss and chose to filed to get advantage of D/L method.
Maturity and competency
No doubt Indian team has better planners and mature players in his team like MS, Youveraj and Virat but Pakistan team also has Shoeb Malik and Hafeez as the most experienced and ex captains of the team but no one asking them in and out the field which showing the lack in cooperation from the captain.
England won by 8 wickets his opening game against Bangladesh
Australia and New Zealand match was effected by Rain (No

Kane Williamson made 100 without any hazel of Australian
Bowling (8 fours and 3 sixes)
Current Line (London)
The thriller of ICC champions
Trophy 2017 has started with the winning tone of English star Root and Bangladesh
Tamim Iqbal in opening game at Oval. The match was good for both the teams to
make good run in the tournament and Tigers played impressively with the bat.
Bangladesh set good target 306
with the brilliant hundreds of Tamim Iqbal (128) but couldn’t manage to defend
the handsome total. The brilliant bating by Root (133) and Alex Hales (95) made
it for English team.
The most unfortunate for the
English team is the injury of Chris woakes who will be no more in the
tournament.
The second match played between Australia
and New Zealand but abandoned by Rain. New Zealand’s Captain Kane Williamson
was in good knock and made 100 with the help of 8 fours and 3 sixes while
Ronchi and Taylor also contributed 65 and 46 respectively. Australia start his
inning to chase the target of 292 in 45 overs after reducing the match but
again and again rain effected and at last it was abandoned. Australia was on 53
on the loss of three wickets including warner (18) Finch (8) and Heriques (18).
Josh Hazlewood was the most successful
bowler of the match as he got six wickets also the best in his career. Josh
after the match it was nice for him but unfortunate that his team cannot
benefited because of rain. Josh seeing the rest of the tournament good for him
and his team.
