Pakistani Cricket Icon Zaheer Abbas took charge ICC as President

Zaheer began his one-year term and thanked the ICC Board and the Full Council for confirming his nomination. He said: “I feel truly honoured and humbled to be appointed as the President of the governing body of our great game.

“This is the sport which has given us friendship, respect, recognition and an opportunity to serve our countries in different capacities. Personally speaking, it has given me more than I can ever possibly repay.

“I am thankful to all of you for the support and confidence placed in me by confirming my nomination. I am also grateful to the PCB for proposing my candidacy as the ICC President. I assure you all that I will stand shoulder to shoulder with all the ICC Members as we continue to strive to inspire more and more people to fall in love with the game we cherish.”

ICC Chairman N.Srinivasan congratulated Zaheer on his appointment, when he said: “Zaheer’s outstanding career as a stylish right-handed batsman is reflected in his remarkable record with 108 first-class hundreds and more than 7,500 international runs.

“Zaheer is clearly an iconic cricketer who always played the game with skill, flair and in the  true spirit. He is a worthy ambassador of our great game.”

Zaheer, 67, played 78 Tests and 62 ODIs from 1969 to 1985 in which he scored 5,062 and 2,572 runs, respectively. He also played in the 1975, 1979 and 1983 ICC Cricket World Cups and captained Pakistan in 14 Tests and 13 ODIs. With 108 centuries, Zaheer is the only Asian batsman to score a century of first-class centuries as he finished his 22-year career with 34,843 runs.

Zaheer was also an ICC match referee in the 1993 series between Sri Lanka and the West Indies in Sri Lanka.

The ICC Council also approved the admission of the Serbia Cricket Federation (SCF) as the 58^th Affiliate Member of the ICC.

Regrettably, the ICC Council also agreed to suspend the Affiliate Memberships of Morocco and Turkey, while Brunei was removed as an Affiliate Member.

The ICC has 105 members.

Board of Governors Pakistan Cricket board confirmed his attitude to set first professional T20 league in next year at UAE.
according to press release issued by PCB

PCB has announced that it will launch its own franchise-based T20 league with the first season scheduled to take place in the UAE next year, said Chairman PCB Shahayrar M. Khan at the 36^th meeting of the Board of Governors, held at the National Cricket Academy here today.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Najam Sethi, Chairman Executive Committee, Mr. Zafar Mehmood, WAPDA, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Sheikh, Chairman Cricket Committee, Mr. Gul Zada, Peshawar Region, Mr. Mansoor Masood Khan, UBL, Professor Ijaz Ahmed Faruqi, Karachi Region, and Mr. Amjad Latif, SNGPL. Mr. Subhan Ahmed, COO, and Mr. Badar Manzoor Khan, CFO, were also present.

International  firm hired by PCB According to official statement

In April this year, PCB engaged Repucom - a globally trusted company with extensive experience in the sports industry – in a consultancy role. Based on the company’s preliminary findings, the Board of Governors discussed three major questions related to the league. It was decided in principle that PCB will organize the league on its own and will not outsource it to any other organization. It was also unanimously decided that the first edition of the league will take place in UAE with an aim of attracting maximum number of foreign players. The Board of Governors discussed the TOR and decided that the league’s Lead Manager should be a leading professional of international repute.

Domestic Cricket Structure 

The Board of Governors further approved recommendations for domestic cricket drawn up by PCB’s 

Cricket Committee. These recommendations were presented to the Board by Chairman Cricket Committee, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Sheikh. 

As part of a broader plan for the future, Chairman PCB stressed on improving grassroots cricket, fitness standards, and making domestic cricket more competitive. He invited Board members to share their suggestions in this regard.

being named as the next ICC President. They also appreciated Mr. Najam Sethi’s gesture of withdrawing his name to honor a Pakistani cricketer.

15 members Pakistan's National test cricket team and 8 officials left for Sri Lanka tour from Lahore on Tuesday night. Pakistan Cricket team who will play 3 tests 5 ODI's and 2 T20's against Sri Lanka at Colombo, Pallekale, Dhambola and two other places is not in full strength in terms of bowling said by head coach Waqar Younis.

"We are facing serious problems regarding bowlers fitness but i am hopeful that in the 2nd test the main striker Rahat Ali will join the team" head coach showed his concern while he was addressing the media before leaving to Colombo at Gadafi Stadium Lahore.

"Saeed Ajmal was a match winner player and we are unfortunate in his replacement but i am happy with young slot who will rock in coming months" Waqar Younis answered a question related to the Saeed Ajmal's set back for the team.

"Pakistan team has ability to beat Sri Lanka at soil to get our place in ICC Champion Trophy 2017 in England because in the absence of Jayawardene and SangaKara (both got retirement during ICC WC 2015)" when he has to asked how much confident you are about the Pakistan's Victory over Lanka to secure their place in ICC Champion Trophy 2017.

Pakistan who is back in international cricket after almost six and quarter years with the home series against Zimbabwe is very much happy with this effort from Zimbabwe Cricket.
In praise of touring Pakistan PCB head Shahar Yar Khan did post series media briefing in which he admitted that this series is not a profitable for PCB as per Economic value but it was a pleasant and virtue for Pakistan Cricket for that we have no thankfull words for Zimbabawe Cricket Team and management.

Shahar yar who was talking to media at Gadaffi stadium Lahore with his alleged counterpart in terms of rights to Control PCB mr Najam Sethi said " The tour was welcomed and wished the best one by the nation with their huge number of attendance in stadium even there was hundreds of Hurdles to reach stadium".
"i was also stuck some time for more than an hour in traffic due to team movements and listned people with calm and thankful comments for Zimbabwe touring Pakistan" he added during media briefing session.  
Chairman PCB also advised reporters about the alternate arrangements of bilateral Cricket Series if India deny to play against Pakistan at UAE.
"we are doing arrangements and i confirm you that we have to do it if India deny to play home series with Pakistan in UAE" he replied to a question.

PCB also send name of Asian Don Bredman Zaheer Abbas for ICC president term which will start from July of this year instead of Najam Sethi who step aside himself with comment "i want to aside my self for betterment of Pakistan Cricket because ICC amending his rules for this post and will make compulsory for ICON Cricketer" Najam Sethi announced during the Media briefing.
Pakistan who won the 3 match home series against Zimbabwe by 2-0 while 3rd and last match was abandoned by the rain.

There was an incident of Suicide blast 700 meter away from the Gadaffi Stadium and outside of red zone area which was initially announced as transformer blast by the local police but there was no panic generated inside the ground and the teams played 2nd and 3rd match with a normal way.
for Pakistan the Zimbabwe Cricket cheif Wilson Minase's press conference back home at Harae after arrival from the tour also very positive as Wilson said it was fantastic tour and everybody enjoyed the Cricket during the 3 ODI and @ T20 matches.

there was a huge sound generated blast even inside the stadium. the officials of PCB and high official from Police department Lahore said, you know there is heavy load in Gadaffi and the electricity supplying by the Grid Station 500 meters away from the stadium thats why it make huge sound but no worries at the end.

It was thrilled evening of Sunday and Gadafi Stadium witnessing the 25 thousand plus crowed and the world that there is time to create history.
The Captain of Zimbabwe team Elton ChiGumbura said it was fantastic event we ever played in the world in his concluding remarks of T20 series which they were lost by 2-0. The T20 man of the series was Mukhtar ahmad an opening batsman of Pakistan T20 Team but the real hero of the T20 is Elton Chigumbura who knocked some brilliant strokes to the Fast bowler Muhammad Sami.

Gadafi Stadium who was hosting 2nd T20 of his Cricket History was thundering with sounds of the people gathered in the stadium. the Sean Williams bowling and bating proved the professional abilities of Zimbabwe team was at best during the hot weather.
the most brilliant thing at Gadafi was the huge number of women expectators who were supporting both the teams.

International Cricket back in Pakistan

International Cricket back home with marginal victory over Zimbabwe at Gadafi stadium Lahore. The International T20 match was played at this ground after six years two months and 19 days.

 this was also mile stone for Pakistan Cricket team and PCB because of safe and sound Cricketing crowed. the match was not sensational as per on paper teams but the courage of the crowed was amazing. The number of females in the present crowed of more than 25 thousands also praiseworthy.
