IOC Executive Board Decision after not issuing visa to Pakistan Shooters for Shooting World Cup2019. THE COMPETITION IS TAKING PLACE IN NEW DELHI, INDIA, FROM 20 TO 28 FEBRUARY 2019.
By Adrees Malik
The issue of not issuing Visa's to two Pakistani Shooters G.M.Bashir and Khalil Ahmad was took up by the ISSF and IOC to solve the matter but Indian Government failed to meet the Olympics charter.
The official release of the IOC as follows
The IOC was informed on 18 February that the Indian government authorities failed to grant an entry visa to the Pakistani delegation comprising two athletes and one official who were meant to participate in the ISSF World Cup. This is a qualification competition for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 in which direct quotas are earned by the respective National Olympic Committees (NOCs). The two Pakistani athletes were due to compete in the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol event, starting Saturday 23 February, in which two quota places are available for the Games.
The IOC restricted the withdrawal of recognition as an Olympic qualification event to the 25m rapid fire pistol competition in which the two Pakistani athletes were supposed to participate. This happened in the interest of the other 500 athletes from 61 countries participating in the other events who are already in India for their competition.
Since becoming aware of the issue, and in spite of intense last-minute joint efforts by the IOC, the ISSF and the Indian NOC, and discussions with the Indian government authorities, no solution has been found to allow the Pakistani delegation to enter India in time to compete.
This situation goes against the Fundamental Principles of the Olympic Charter, in particular the principles of non-discrimination, as well as the IOC’s and the Olympic Movement’s position, reiterated on many occasions over the past few years, that equal treatment must be guaranteed for all participating athletes and sporting delegations at international sports events, without any form of discrimination or political interference from the host country.
As a result, the IOC Executive Board also decided to suspend all discussions with the Indian NOC and government regarding the potential applications for hosting future sports and Olympic-related events in India, until clear written guarantees are obtained from the Indian government to ensure the entry of all participants in such events in full compliance with the rules of the Olympic Charter – and to recommend that the IFs neither award to nor hold sports events in India until the above-mentioned guarantees are obtained.
The ISSF was asked to make a proposal on how the two available Olympic quota places will now be otherwise reassigned

PSL 3rd day belongs to three emerging stars of T20 Cricket Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi and Umer Khan three stars Shaheen Afridi and Rauf made first victory for Qalandars against KK.
By Adrees Malik
young Emerging Cricketer of Lahore Qalandar Haris Rauf took four wickets and Shaheen Shah Afridi grabbed two wickets to change Qalanadars' fortunes as they beat Karachi Kings by 22 runs on day three of the Pakistan Super League in Dubai on Saturday.
Rauf grabbed 4-23 while Shaheen returned with figures of 2-20 as Karachi Kings failed to chase down a low score target of 139-run target.
Rauf was equally devastating at the other end, bowling Rizwan and then having Imad Wasim caught in the deep for a ten-ball 17 with a four and six. Rauf then dismissed Sohail Khan first ball but Mohammad Amir avoided a hat trick.
Man of the match Rauf said he bowled as per the advice of his coach.
It was not important to be the man of the match, but what was important was to win the game for my team with good bowling and I am happy that I achieved that," said Rauf, a product of Lahore's development program.
the 3rd important emerging cricketer of the 3rd day of PSL4 is Umer Khan.
Young left-arm spinner Umer Khan provided Karachi Kings with the much needed breakthrough as Sohail holed out off a slower one while Fakhar miscued a cut off part-timer Sikander Raza to leave Lahore at 77-2.
Umer's prized wicket was that of AB de Villiers who holed out off Umer, miscuing a slog sweep as the left-armer looped the ball, judging the master batsman was ready for a slog. Umer danced with joy at getting the valuable wicket, one wonders whether he would sleep after this lifetime scalp.
AB de Villiers said it was a good win, with an impressive bowling attack.
"It was a privilege to represent Lahore and then captaining for a few overs (after regular captain Mohammad Hafeez went off the field with a finger injury)," said De Villiers. "Rauf was impressive and his is an interesting story that how he played cricket in the first place."
Karachi skipper Imad said his team was wrecked by some good bowling.
"Lahore has a good pace attack and Shaheen and Rauf bowled superbly and it was tough to chase on this pitch," said Imrad.

Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators won their matches Akmal Brothers played excellent Cricket for their Arch Rival teams of PSL Babar Azam clean batting hits the heart of fans Livingstone proved "He is best induction in the marvelous PSL edition.
By Adrees Malik
Pakistan Super league second day was not good for the Multan Sultans as they lost the gripped match against Islamabad United because of their bad planning, while Quetta Gladiators won the match with brilliance of 75 runs on 50 balls by Umar Akmal.
the first match between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings on the record book with the PSL history highest opening partnership of 157 runs between Babar Azam 77 and Livingstone 82 runs on 41 deliveries.
Multan Sultans who were chasing 184 runs have their best inning of Shoeb Malik 52 runs in which he made 21 runs in an over but they couldn't manage the Run rate and finish their inning on 176/9.
The 2nd match between Peshawar Zalmi and Twice runners-up Quetta Gladiators who won the battle of arch-rivals with a convincing six-wicket win in their opening game to get a kick start to their campaign for the elusive title in Dubai.
Sarfraz Ahmed-led Quetta restricted Peshawar to 155-4 in their 20 overs after sending them into bat on a day.
Kamran Akmal and veteran Misbah-ul-Haq hit 49 each as Peshawar only managed a late charge, scoring 54 runs in the last five overs.
Former Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal then smashed 50-ball 75 not out with three sixes and seven fours to steer Quetta Gladiators to a comfortable chase in the 19.4 overs, for the fifth win over rivals in eleven matches. Peshawar have also won five head-to-head matches with one no result in three editions of the HBL PSL.
Sarfraz Ahmed attributed the win to a team work.
"Overall it was a team performance," said Sarfraz. "We bowled well to restrict them to 155-4 and then Umar played a brilliant knock, so I am very happy at that."
Peshawar captain Darren Sammy said his team did not put a big total on the board.
"We didn't get enough runs but did well to take the match to the last over," said Sammy. "It was just the first game and we reached final both times after losing the first game, so we need to lift ourselves in the next game."
Umar led Quetta's recovery after they were off to a disastrous start, losing another former Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad leg before to Hasan Ali on the first ball of their innings.
Shane Watson hit two boundaries and a towering six in his 15-ball 19 and Rilee Rossouw made 14-ball 19 with three boundaries but both wasted good starts to leave the repair work to Umar.
Umar smashed a boundary and a six each off pacers Sameen Gul and Umaid Asif to show his intentions. He added 62 for the fourth wicket with skipper Sarfraz who made 29-ball 37 with a six and three boundaries.
Paceman Wahab Riaz dismissed Sarfraz to become the first bowler to complete 50 wickets in HBL PSL history. The milestone came in his 33rd match, as he finished with 2-18.
Umar smashed Kieron Pollard for a towering six towards long-on to bring up the victory.
Umar's elder brother Kamran did the same for his team Peshawar. Kamran was the helm of a repair work after a faltering Peshawar start, losing West Indian Andre Fletcher in the third over of the innings for just one. Kamran added 64 for the second wicket with another Pakistan discard Sohaib Maqsood who made 29-ball 26 with two sixes and a boundary.
Therefore the 2nd day of 4th edition of PSL is no doubt "Akmal Brotehr's day".
On day three of the HBL PSL title holders Islamabad United -- who won their first match by five wickets against Lahore Qalandars on Thursday -- face Multan while Karachi kings square off with Lahore in a battle of two big cities in Dubai on Saturday.

Dark Horse of the PSL 4th
EditionA man who is Hidden Truth of
Pakistan test Cricket not seeing Inzimam ul Haq and Mickey ArthurThe opening ceremony was not much impressed the audience and people watching live
Lahore Qalandars start of 4th edition again victory less
By Adrees Malik
PSL 4th Edition start with the less impressive opening ceremony but high voltage opening match between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United,United won the match with massive pair of sixes to the dark horse of PSL 4th Edition Rahat Ali.
I was keen to write peace on Pakistan Super league 4th edition his marketing weaknesses and flaws in opening ceremony of the event but the brilliance of cricket in first match between Islamabad united and Lahore Qalanders changed my thoughts.
There were nothing in the opening ceremony but the performance of Jumoon Band, Aima baig who was nervous before coming to the big stage as she announced a day before presser at stadium, Pitbull pulled out himself because of travelling problems and the people because of less transportation for the stadium.
The first game was started with the toss, Lahore qalndar who batted first and though set the total of 171 with excellent knock of 65 on 43 deliveries by Fakhar Zaman but it was 20 to 25 runs short as per their inning build up. at one stage Qalandars were 89 without loss at half stage of the match but in the next ten overs they scored 82 runs and lost 8 wickets.
Professor Hafeez start with key bowlers but the man from Multan Rahat Ali in his single over got three wickets including Luke Ronchi, Salt and Rizwan made him impressive as he is at UAE.
The match was in hands of Qalanders but they failed to manage the wicket taking art in last five overs and heavy 6th wicket partnership between Faheem Ashraf(man of the match) and Asif Ali (Player of the best inning) made the match for united's.
Rahat Ali is the man who grabbed three wickets in an over and take the match away from united's but at the end the stretigic timeout worked well in which head coach professor Dino (Dean Jones) ordered Asif Ali to prove his selection with solid performance in remaining overs.
Lahore Qalander lost the opening match but Rahat Ali proved himself best at UAE pitches with 4 wickets in a match.
Rahat Ali is the bowler who he can make the ball at a brisk pace and can bowl the heavy ball at will, but its unfortunate for Pakistan Cricket board, the selection committee chairman Inzimam ul Haq and head coach mickey arthur who misread Rahat Ali in selection of test team and lost back to back test series at home soil of UAE and than at South Africa.
Raha Ali in 2013 was debuted against South Africa and in his 2nd test match at Centurion he took six wickets including AB Deliverers and Hashim Amla.
In World Cup 2015 Misbah Ul Haq is the man who was in fovor of the RAhat Ali, Ahsan Adil and Asad Ali to be part of team and forcefully all three were included in the World Cup squad, Rahat Ali was good in bowling and proved his presence in a match against South Africa with three wickets., but the drop catch of Shane watson in the Quarter final not only become the exit point for Pakistan team from the ICC WC2015 but also for Rahat Ali outed from the National Team in all three formats,
Chairman Selection committee Inzimam ul Haq who belongs to Multan is failed to see his city fellow Rahat Ali who was born at Multan on 12th September 1988 as talented bowler of test cricket especially at UAE. If he was included in the squad than Pakistan never faced defeats at look like home soil of UAE.
Rahat Ali played 21 tests for Pakistan and has 58 wickets in his record book, he has 18 wickets in 14 ODI's as well.
The future Pakistan test team will look good if Rahat Ali and Abbas will pair as the pacer of first and third session respectively.
