Pakistan Hockey Team bring back the glory of the national game after 18 years by playing final of Champions Trophy 2014 against Germany. Pakistan Hockey team who never defeated by India in any of the champion Trophy tournaments in the history, strict with his record in 2014 



 also and beat India by 4-3 in semifinal. The match was heated after the Pakistan Team players celebrations way in the ground and FIH banned 2 players tousiq and amjad after Indian Hockey's pressure to do so.

Before that after defeat from Pakistan, Indian Hockey team also lost their Bronze medal  match against Australia.

Ali and a large number of former Olympians would receive the team at the Wagha border. The team will reach at the Wagha border at 11:30 am and would be brought to Lahore in a motorcade procession.

Pakistan young combat Haris Sohail made impressive 85 with the help of 5 fours and a six, played major role in the first victory over new zealand in the first ODI of % matches series. Shahid Afridi who made advisable 50 after a long time against his regular temperament to attain required total of 247 runs.

Earlier Pakistan won the toss and opt field first which showed enough confidence of Misbah on his Batsmen.

Hafeez Bowling action found Illegal and suspended from bowling in International Cricket. ICC

 


Current Line (Dubai) After Saeed Ajmal Pakistani off spinner Muhammd Hafeez's bowling action found illegal under the bowling action code 2.4 of ICC. 
according to ICC "The International Cricket Council today confirmed that an independent analysis has found the bowling action of Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez to be illegal and, as such, the off-spinner has been suspended from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect."

The analysis revealed that all his deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the regulations.

Hafeez, who was reported after the first Test match against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi last month, can apply for a re-assessment after he has modified his bowling action in accordance with clause 2.4 of the Regulations for the Review of Bowlers Reported with Suspected Illegal Bowling Actions.

The analysis was performed on 24 November by the ICC’s accredited team of Human Movement Specialists using the National Cricket Performance Centre, Loughborough.

PCB still zipped on this issue and not released any official statement.

ICC Announced Schedule of warm up matches from 8th February to 13th February.

All Non ODI (14) will host by Australia at Sydney, Adelaide, Christchurch and Melbourne.

International Cricket Council announced the Warm up matches schedule for the Pre-world Cup assessment practice matches.

A total of 14 non-ODI warm-up matches will be played across Adelaide, Christchurch, Melbourne and Sydney from 8 to 13 February, with host and four-time former world champion Australia taking on reigning world champion India at Adelaide Oval on the first day.

Four matches will be played on the second day, with Christchurch hosting South Africa and Sri Lanka at Hagley Oval, and co-host New Zealand and Zimbabwe going head to head at Bert Sutcliffe Oval. In Sydney, England will face West Indies at the Sydney Cricket Ground, and Blacktown will host the Asian clash between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Three qualifiers will be in action on Tuesday, 10 February, day three of the warm-up matches. European rivals Ireland and Scotland will lock horns at Blacktown in Sydney while neighbours India and Afghanistan will prepare for the tournament proper at the Adelaide Oval.

Eight sides will feature on Wednesday, 11 February. New Zealand will meet South Africa at Hagley Oval, and Sri Lanka will take on Zimbabwe at Bert Sutcliffe Oval (both matches in Christchurch), 1992 World Cup finalists England and Pakistan will test each other at the Sydney Cricket Ground and Australia will play the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

On Thursday, 12 February, the West Indies will play Scotland at the Sydney Cricket Ground and Ireland will play Bangladesh in Blacktown, while Friday, 13 February, sees the UAE play Afghanistan at Melbourne’s Junction Oval in the final warm-up game.

The public will be welcome to attend warm up matches which will be ticketed but free of charge. Details of how to obtain tickets will be announced in due course. It should be noted that warm-up matches are not official ODIs and operate under slightly different rules with up to 15 players able to be used throughout the game with no more than 11 players may field at any one time.  The spectator experience will not be the same standard as at normal ODI matches.

Additionally, the ICC has also confirmed the match start time of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

The 14 February tournament opener between New Zealand and Sri Lanka will start at 1100 (NZT), while Australia will square-off against England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on the same day with the first ball to be bowled at 1430 (AEDT).

The 29 March final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground will start at 1430 (AEDT).

Pakistan Hockey team selection committee announced 18 members squad for the FIH Champion's Trophy 2014. M.Imran Captain Pakistan Hockey team showed his determination for the professional show during the Tournament "We know the tournament is very important for the sack of direct entry to the RIO Olympics than the natural Champion Trophy and we are mentally prepared to show our professional best" he said in an Exclusive talk with Current Line.

Captain Imran said the team is mixture of senior and juniors which will strength the team during game pace "the new system of intervals in now fully understand by every player and because we have the juniors and seniors combination and a good goal keeper Imran Butt, therefore we will also play best game against European teams" Imran said.

Big challenge for RIO Olympics 2016 

India Announced Men's Hockey Team for FIH Men's Champion Trophy 2014.

While Pakistan Hockey Federation is yet to announce the hockey team, its arch rival India has already made public its 18 members squad for the FIH Hockey Champion's Trophy 2014.
Pakistan Hockey team will leave for India before 4th of December as there is scheduled practice match with Argentine on that day.
The matches scheduled to start from 6th of December at Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.    
India will be seen playing their first match in the Hero Men’s Champions Trophy 2014 against Germany on 6th December 2014 which will be followed by clashes against Argentina on 7th December 2014, and against Netherlands on 9th December 2014.
Sardar Singh will lead the team during this marvelous and most competitive Tournament of International Hockey.

 Pakistani Players have number of injuries PCB Officials worried for the ICC World Cup2015 Squad 


Current Line (Lahore) The PCB odds and sums are worried about the present fitness challenges to the top class players of Pakistan squad.
Saeed Ajaml and Hafeez are under the critical action circumstances while the others like Ahmad Shahzad, Irfan, Wahab, Junaid and Umer Gull are facing fitness issues. But the Doctors pannel hope full for the best as they issued the report about above mentioned and Sohaib Maqsood injuries.
Dr. Sohail Saleem, General Manager, Sports Medicine, PCB, based here at the NCA, under whose expert watch and supervision the quintet  is being put through recovery and rehab.

Ahmed Shehzad: No surgery; physical work out commences
“Ahmed Shehzad was examined by Prof. Abid Ashar, Maxillofacial surgeon on Nov. 19 in Lahore, with regards to injury sustained by him during the first Test Match against New Zealand about 10 days ago. Clinicoradiological examination showed fracture of a part of his right cheek bone (zygomatic arch).
“Presently he has mild tenderness over the fracture site. Also his mouth opening has improved considerably from the previously limited state. He does not have any limitation of lateral excursion movement of lower jaw, which is expected following this injury. On inspection, there is no obvious asymmetry although there is mild swelling.
“It has been decided that he will be treated conservatively for this injury as surgery is required only for cosmetic reasons in such cases. A review has been planned on Monday. He has been advised to avoid contact sports for a period of six weeks but he can start his physical workout from next week.”

Sohaib Maqsood: Out of T20I & ODI rubbers against Black Caps
“Sohaib Maqsood has been advised three weeks of relative rest after diagnostic investigations confirmed the initial suspicion of wrist bone fracture and a small tear in one of the ligaments of wrist. Sohaib injured his wrist while playing for Pakistan ‘A’ against the UAE last month. This injury will put him out of contention for selection in the T20I and ODI series against New Zealand.”

Wahab Riaz: Total recovery – To clear last fitness test
“Wahab Riaz seems to have completely recovered from his knee injury. He has so far bowled more than 60 overs in the last two first class games he has played for his department in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy. Wahab Riaz will appear in a fitness test next week at the National Cricket Academy before being considered for limited overs cricket against New Zealand in UAE.

“Mohammad Hafeez is recovering very well from his Grade 1 hamstring strain injury sustained during the first Test match in Abu-Dhabi against New Zealand. Hafeez spent two busy days at his rehabilitation at the NCA before proceeding for Loughborough, UK, early Saturday (today) morning for getting officially tested on suspected illegal bowling action.

Chairman PCB Shaharyar M. Khan has approved the 15-member squad for the remainder of the Test series against New Zealand, following its recommendation by the six-member selection committee headed by former captain Moin Khan.
There is only one change to the side that won the successive Abu Dhabi Tests against Australia and New Zealand. "The change has been forced on us owing to head injury to opener Ahmed Shehzad. Team Pakistan is keen and confident of maintaining its winning sequence in the remaining two Tests as well", said chief selector and manager Moin Khan.
The second Test commences on Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium while the third Test will be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium from November 26, 2014.

Pakistan beat New Zealand by 238 runs in Abu Dhabi test

Pakistan's star opening batsman Ahmad Shahzad return back to Pakistan for rest after getting threat full fast ball on the face from C. Anderson of New Zealand in 1st test at Abu Dehbi.
PCB released the following health news about ahmad shahzad.
Ahmed Shehzad is flying back home tonight to rest and recuperate from the head injury he received on day two (Monday) of the ongoing Test match against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi.
 
“Since Shehzad had been advised not to participate in sporting activity for a minimum of three weeks, and he could take no further part in the ongoing Test match, it was considered prudent to send him back home for complete rest and recuperation,” said manager Moin Khan
 
Ahmed Shehzad was hit in the face while attempting a pull shot on a Corey Anderson bouncer on the second day of ongoing test match between Pakistan and New Zealand in Abu Dhabi.
 
Shehzad was taken to a local hospital where he was examined by consultant plastic surgeon Dr. Rahul Tandon. After examining his CT scan the consultant confirmed that he had fracture of the right zygomatic arch but fortunately he did not require active surgical intervention at present and can be managed conservatively on pain killers and muscle relaxants for a week.
 
Shehzad has been advised not to take part in any sporting activity for the next three weeks. Shehzad will thus be flying back home tonight where he will remain under the observation of Dr. Sohail Saleem, PCB’s Senior General Manager, Sports Medicine.
